Mr. Lowe is a Director of the firm and a member of the firm's Corporate and Financial Services Groups. He concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions, sports law, securities law, finance and venture capital, oil and gas, banking and general corporate matters. He represents buyers and sellers in stock and asset acquisitions, issuers in private placements and public offerings of equity and debt securities, and companies and funding sources in venture capital and other financing transactions. He also represents public companies in ongoing reporting and compliance matters, and companies generally in connection with various business transactions and contracts.

Selected Engagements
- Represented several different private investor groups in their acquisition and sale of minor league baseball franchises
- Acts as outside general counsel for an affiliated group of companies that controls two minor league baseball franchises and provides consulting services to the sports industry
- Acts as outside general counsel to the potential purchaser of a Major League Baseball franchise
- Represents an information technology company in all of its general corporate, business and securities transactions and matters; also represented that company in its initial public offering and in its acquisitions of privately held U.S., U.K. and Indian companies
- Represented the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL Hockey Club in several transactions, including an attempted sale of the Club, the financing and construction of a new arena, a reorganization of the entity owning the Club and a refinancing of the Club's indebtedness
- Represented a private investor group in its acquisition of the Florida Panthers NHL Hockey Club
- Represented a private investor in his attempted purchase of the Atlanta Hawks NBA franchise, Atlanta Thrashers NHL franchise and rights to the Phillips Arena in Atlanta
- Represents oil and gas development companies in their private placements of interests in partnerships formed to conduct oil and gas drilling operations
- Represented several technology companies in various rounds of angel and venture capital financing
- Represented venture capital firms in various rounds of financing of early and growth stage companies
- Represented an oil and gas development company in its sale of interests in oil and gas wells
- Represented a hedge fund in its formation of and investments in numerous joint ventures, including those for the leasing of flight training equipment, the distribution of films in Latin America, the collection of government receivables, the origination of mezzanine financing to Canadian borrowers, the provision of debt and equity financing to private and public companies and the development and distribution of video game rights
- Represented several physicians and physician groups in connection with the sale of their medical practices to, and their employment agreements with, hospitals and other health care organizations
- Represented a computer software and enterprise solutions provider in its initial public offering
- Represented a public company in its investigation of certain stock trading activities by one of its directors
- Represented bank holding companies and their banking subsidiaries in acquisitions and sales of banks and bank branches
- Represented an electric utility company in its acquisition of technology, assets and business for remote meter reading
- Represented a nonprofit social services organization in its merger with another nonprofit organization.
